61.8 is a question, not a destination

Students arrive with a folklore version of retracement: price “should” turn at 61.8. In practice, that percentage is one mark among several, and the mark only matters if something actually happens there—a stall, a rejection wick, a failed push through.

On our printed packs we shade a band from 50 to 61.8 rather than a razor line. Bands survive the difference between a close and a wick. Lines invite arguments about pixels.

If nothing happens in the band, the honest note is “no event.” That sentence belongs in the journal. Inventing a story so the ratio can stay magical is how grids become decoration.

The workshop does not sell a bounce method. We sell the slower skill of watching a measured area without needing it to perform.
